My vision for Woodbury is rooted in strong community. I want Woodbury to be not only a premier destination to visit, but also a place where people are proud to live, and proud to be from.
Transparency & Representation
I am committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive community where every resident has the opportunity to share their ideas for a better Woodbury. What this looks like:
Regular Office Hours to create more opportunities for two-way conversations with residents.
Support quarterly town hall meetings so neighbors can ask questions, share ideas, and raise concerns in a public forum.
Oppose non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for data centers and support efforts at the state level to ban them, so residents can access information that affects their community.
Healthy Community
Woodbury is at a pivotal moment. As we look toward the 2050 comprehensive plan, we must be serious, proactive, and specific about sustainable growth, protecting our natural resources, and climate resiliency. Our future depends on leadership that asks hard questions and finds creative solutions for sustainable growth that supports a healthy community
Clean Water for All: It is essential to continue and strengthen our efforts to protect the community from the negative effects of PFAS in our water supply, ensuring long-term health and safety.
Protecting Wild Spaces: We must actively preserve the green and wild spaces that define Woodbury's character, ensuring they are protected as development continues to expand. This includes public parks, trails, community gardens, & dog parks.
Prioritize Energy Efficiency: Encourage energy efficient development, walk-able neighborhoods, native plantings, and green energy options.
Support Residential Flexibility: Allow residents to use small-scale agriculture on their property to help feed their families, as long as it does not negatively impact neighboring properties. This includes backyard hens, honey bees, and gardens.
EV Charging Stations: Increase public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to meet growing demand.
Affordability
Maintain quality relationships with county, state, and federal leaders. Partner fiscally where it makes sense, reducing the tax burden on the local Woodbury base.
Encourage licensed child-care providers. In-home or center-based, lack of childcare has been a pain-point for young Woodbury families.
Encourage small business development. Woodbury is already home to many national chain stores and restaurants. Let's make the business climate welcoming to small business owners as well to keep our community eclectic and vibrant.
Representation & Wards for Woodbury
Woodbury is now the 8th largest city in Minnesota, yet we still use an at-large system for our city council. Moving to a ward system would ensure that every neighborhood has a direct voice at City Hall.
The Problem: As it stands, all city council members could legally reside in the same neighborhood, or even the same HOA. This causes blatant conflict of interest issues. Woodbury has many diverse neighborhoods with unique needs and characteristics, including lot size, HOA involvement, traffic concerns, and business development. To have a truly representative government, we need representatives who live throughout Woodbury, to speak to the unique needs of citizens in their ward.
Let the People Decide: I support putting the choice of ward representation directly on the ballot for Woodbury voters.
Inclusive Decision Making: I will strongly advocate for committees and advisory board participants that accurately reflect the demographics of the city of Woodbury.
Housing Redevelopment Authority: I will ensure that constituents are appointed on a term limiting basis for the city of Woodbury housing redevelopment authority, which is currently being represented by sitting city council.
Support Community-Led Initiatives
The city of Woodbury is shaped by those who live here. I am committed to reducing red-tape for inclusive, well-meaning community-led initiatives.
Public Safety
In the 2026 survey, the vast majority of residents (94%) felt safe in Woodbury. In 2024, Woodbury voters passed a bond to fund our city's public safety department, expanding the department and facility to meet the needs of a growing community. It is the responsibility of city leadership to ensure that these public funds remain well spent, and engage in oversight to ensure transparency, smart spending, and protecting personal liberty while keeping citizens safe.
