Meet Samantha Wolf
I am a mom to two school-aged children, a wife, and a proud resident of Royal Oaks neighborhood in Woodbury. My campaign for Woodbury City Council is dedicated to transparent leadership and community-first solutions. With a background in nonprofit work and a passion for local advocacy, I am ready to represent your voice on the Woodbury City Council.
My run for City Council is fueled by a commitment to open governance and local advocacy, ensuring every resident has a seat at the table.
My professional background is in nonprofit communications and grassroots organizing. This work has brought me in close contact with different marginalized communities. From working with adults with disabilities to helping women start small businesses, I have always found myself drawn to work that is meaningful, and work that makes a measurable difference in my community.
My experience in grassroots organizing began in 2012, with the campaign for marriage equality at the state level. I was in college at the time, and witnessing the power of collective action to defeat discrimination taught me that true authority resides with the people.
Throughout my career I’ve stepped into numerous leadership roles and organizing opportunities, including serving a two-year term on the board of the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities, advocating at the state level for disability rights. These roles shaped my understanding of effective state-level advocacy.
Recently, as an organizer with TakeAction Minnesota, I championed policies designed to put families first. My work focused on securing universal childcare, defending paid sick and safe time, and ensuring our public schools remain fully funded.
I am prepared to bring this same energy and experience to the Woodbury City Council, advocating for a city that prioritizes transparency and the well-being of all its citizens. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive future for our home.
